Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman is the Distinguished Professor of Psychology as well as director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. She was widely credited with establishing the current study of eyewitnesses' memory, and the role of children in witnessing. Her publications are numerous She has also received a number of grants and has been the recipient of numerous awards international and national levels. She has consulted with numerous governments and agencies throughout the globe on policy and studies on children as victims within the legal system. She is also a consulting for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) and is a part of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional associations that include Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is part of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a Founding Member, International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the president of American Psychological Association's three divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Children and Families policy and practice.
